I can’t decide whether today was a good day or whether it was terrible. The big stuff comes first. Remember when I posted about being published? Well, today the second book was released. It’s called Not Quite What I Was Planning and you should buy it, not because I’ll get any money from it (I don’t, the satisfaction of being published is enough) but because the people at Smith Magwho put this book together worked hard, and co-editor Rachel Fershleiser was so kind to me. She answered every email I sent her, she answered all my questions, and she complimented me on my abilities.

Need to be convinced? Enjoy this sampling of the book.

Thinking about the book puts me in a better mood. The boyfriend and I went to Davis-Kidd and I purused the shelves until I found the display right next to the register of the books. I flipped through it, giddy, and holding up the line. I moved up and asked for the copy I had reserved. As we got back into the car I had to stop and find my entry before driving home, I was the perfect picture of glee. Being published once? Awesome! Being published twice? Fucking amazing. Now I need to work on the third one…

In retrospect, this day was pretty super. It was better than many had. Our house is undamaged, our family is unscratched, I’ve spent time with people I care about, and I’ve had a memorable experience most people don’t get to have. All in all, I’m happy with Super Tuesday.

Can anyone tell me why my Wordpress Dashboard looks like this?
