the name means absolutely nothing
I fell in love today. He was tall, black and a little dirty…well, his car was. I was behind this Land Rover as I was heading home from completing errands when I caught his eye in the side view mirror. He had short brown hair, and a strong looking arm resting on his door. We were meant to be, but he was playing hard to get, speeding away from me. I pressed my foot on the gas, going nearly 50 in a 35. I didn’t care, laws were meant to be broken, at least in the name of love. As I neared him, the car slowed and his turn signal blinked. He turned right and I had to make the split decision whether I should follow him or go home as I’d planned. I chose the latter and waved as I passed the intersection. I might have made the wrong decision, I might have lost my future husband. So I’ll keep checking Craigslist’s “Missed Connections” and maybe hang out on that corner until I see him again.
Oh, I also saw a man at a stop sign trying to put his fist in his mouth. I also would like to marry him, because not many people can do that, you know. He’s special.
I'm Lizzy. Or Liz. I'm a seventeen year old from Nashville. I write words here. I like it when people comment on the words I write. Want to know more about me? Carry on my wayward son. (see what I did there? HA.)

Sigh. I’ve been happily married for two years and I still see guys at stop lights about whom I wonder the same thing.

Remember when we were younger and you confessed me to you wanted to be in an interracial relationship?
I’m glad your following your dreams.
